Day 9: Love

Ephesians 3:17-19 “…And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

  • Spend a few minutes in quiet, resting in God’s love for you.
  • Ask God to teach you to love Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Make a daily commitment to grow in love so the love you offer to others is increasingly selfless, mature, patient and kind (Matthew 22:37-39).
  • We love because He first loved us. Who do you struggle to love?  Pray asking the Holy Spirit to empower you to love with a love that is not your own.
  • Pray through this verse in 1 Corinthians asking God to help you apply biblical truths to a challenging relationship. “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends” (1 Corinthians 13:4–8a).
