A Different Way to Do September

There is something about September that makes us reach for familiar rhythms.
Calendars fill again. Meetings return. Ministries and programs restart. We pull old routines back off the shelf and try to remember how we made everything fit.
And yet, I wonder if this new season is asking something more of us than simply getting back into rhythm.
God says through Isaiah:
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:19
Do you perceive it?
That question feels especially important for those of us who lead. We can become so good at restarting what worked before that we miss what God is doing now.
Maybe the invitation this September isn't to throw out every routine or chase something new for the sake of newness. Maybe it is simply to pay attention.
What still belongs in this season?
What doesn't?
What have you learned about your capacity, your calling, your relationships, your leadership - or yourself - that means you cannot enter this fall exactly as you entered the last one?
And perhaps most importantly: Who are you becoming in the story God is writing?
God is the Author, but we are not passive characters. Our choices become part of the story. Our boundaries matter. Our relationships matter. The places where we choose courage over comfort matter. The small yes we offer God today becomes part of what He writes through our lives.
At Gather, this is the kind of formation we care about: not simply helping women do more, but creating spaces where women can pay attention to God and to the lives they are living.
The Studio begins soon, and one final place remains for a woman ready to give intentional attention to her calling, leadership and formation.
Gather Circles are launching soon, creating places for women to open Scripture, tell the truth and become in community.
And November 6–7, we will gather for BEHOLD — Friday evening and Saturday morning — to worship, remember, celebrate and look toward what God may be making new.
Perhaps behold is the word we need as we enter this season.
Look again.
Pay attention.
Don't assume the next chapter has to look like the last one.
He is the Author. We are the living ink.
