Embracing a New Season
By Bianca Schaefer
I love how every season tells a story of God’s faithfulness. Summer is slow and spacious, a time to soak in warmth and rest. But when fall arrives, there’s a different kind of energy. The air is cooler, the days feel sharper, and suddenly everything seems to lean toward new beginnings—programs starting, goals being set, opportunities opening up.
If I’m honest, fall often feels like the true “new year” for me. It’s a season of fresh vision and fresh possibility. And as women called to lead—in our homes, workplaces, churches, and communities—it’s a reminder that God is always doing something new.
Isaiah 43:19 says, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” What a promise to carry into a new season: God is already at work, preparing paths where we can’t yet see them and providing refreshment in places that once felt dry.
Instead of dreading the busyness that fall can bring, what if we entered it with anticipation? Not the pressure of more to do, but the joy of what God is about to unfold. That shift changes everything.
It reminds me that:
My leadership isn’t just about responsibilities, it’s about stewardship—being faithful with what God has entrusted to me in this moment.
My calendar isn’t something to fear, but something to surrender—trusting that God will give wisdom to choose what matters most.
My strength doesn’t come from striving harder, but from abiding in Christ—“I am the vine; you are the branches if you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).
As fall begins, I want to step forward not with clenched fists, but with open hands. To see this new season not as a burden, but as an invitation. To believe that God is not only equipping me for what’s ahead, but also surrounding me with others to walk alongside me.
That’s why community matters so much. We were never meant to lead alone. When women come together—sharing wisdom, praying for one another, and encouraging each other to stay rooted in Christ—the ripple effects are powerful.
If you’re looking for a way to step into this new season with clarity, confidence, and community, I’d love to invite you into The Studio—a nine-month leadership cohort designed to equip and encourage women in ministry, the marketplace, and beyond. This could be the fresh beginning God is inviting you into this fall.
