Advent - Joy Blessing

by Kaitlyn Cey

Be all you were created to be

May you rejoice like the wise men as they approached the radiant glow that guided them towards Christ. As you get closer to him, may you experience the goodness of The Messiah’s heart and what it means to live in His Kingdom of light.

May you worship him knowing he overcame death, was acquainted with sorrow, and has disarmed the dark powers that had dominated our world.

May you know what it is to be awestruck because Christ who called Lazarus out from the tomb has called you to walk forth from death to life too.

May you be astonished at the power of Jesus’ death-defying prayer and be inspired as you recognize rhythms of resurrection in your life.

May you be moved by lavish love to remove your old grave clothes and put on the robes of righteousness reserved just for you.

May the celebration of your new life sustain you through seasons of grief and anchor you during days of abundance and blessing.

May you refuse to be held back by your struggle, fix your gaze on your future destiny, and joyfully walk free to be all you were created to be.

“When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” - Matthew 2:10-11 NIV

“‘Where have you laid him?’ he asked. ‘Come and see, Lord,’ they replied.” - John 11:34 NIV

“The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, ‘Take off the grave clothes and let him go.’” - John 11:44 NIV
