Cathie Ostapchuk - Lead Catalyst. Cathie's work and ministry as a leadership development trainer, consultant and coach -  has led her to work in global non-profit organizations such as World Vision and Compassion, corporate boardrooms, and has taken her across Canada and as far as Africa and Australia doing the work she loves.  Her mission statement is to help clarify purpose and vision for individuals, teams and organizations.
Cathie is committed to raising the profile and presence of Canadian Christian women coast to coast and as the Co-Founder of Gather Women, she knows that the Canadian landscape will be transformed by women who are connected and championed in a culture of support.  She believes that cultivating the soil in this nation and gathering, developing and equipping Canadian Christian women will nurture a collective voice and a presence that can radically impact our churches, communities and our culture.


Gather Board Chair Elizabeth Pierce is a wife, mother of two, and clinical social worker by profession. Her life's purpose is to speak truth and make a difference - in this world and for the kingdom of God.  Elizabeth has worked at the same counselling agency since 1996, starting as a therapist, until she became the Executive Director in 2010. When she is not at work, she lives a busy life, full of being a taxi service and cheerleader for her boys’ sporting events; serving in her church as a speaker and ministry leader; and spending time with the important people God has blessed her with. She is tenderly, yet passionately pursued everyday by a loving God, and wants to ensure that everyone else understands that they are too.


Joy Byers was born in Montreal and found her way into the loving arms of Jesus much later in life. An introvert by nature, Joy loves to curl up with a good book and chill with Frankie (her adorable tuxedo cat) by the fireplace or snuggle up with Kevin the man who makes her belly laugh, and husband of 26 years.  Joy treasures flawed, imperfect, authentic people as well as travelling and learning new things. She is enamoured of all things tech and understanding what makes things work the way they do as well as an avid basketball fan who loves the opportunity feed your belly and your soul.
Joy currently serves as the Discipleship Pastor @ The Peoples Church and is passionate about equipping the body to handle the Word of God, with a special place for women.


Ninette Bishay was born and raised in Canada to a Coptic Orthodox family.  As a Chartered Professional Accountant and member of the Charities & Not-for-Profit Organizations team at Grant Thornton LLP, her professional vocation is to provide assurance and advisory services exclusively to organizations who make a difference in our society and world.  Ninette is a frequent speaker and author on topics of financial reporting, internal control efficiencies, governance, reserves, and issues around CRA compliance.  She is very involved in the community serving in her church, on the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee of a Christian private school, St. George Montessori Prep School, and as the National Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.

Ninette resides in Toronto, Canada with her dear husband, Joseph, and her favourite girl in the world, her sweet daughter, Emily.

Ginette Armoogan is the Women’s Ministry Director at Kennedy Road Tabernacle, a large, multi-cultural church in the GTA. She is also a freedom fighter with the anti-human-trafficking organization Fight 4 Freedom. In her spare time you can find her spending time with family and friends, listening to music, reading books, and eating chocolate.  Life is hard, chocolate helps.


Char Quiring is the founder and now co-leader of the Sisterhood YXE movement in Saskatoon. She is especially passionate about engaging, encouraging and mobilizing the next generation of young women. She believes that through coming together to worship, pray, teach and serve, the body of Christ will be revived; and that a woman’s heart is uniquely crafted and designed specifically by the Father for connecting, encouraging and empowering others.
