Through Gather, we are creating a space for Christian women in Canada to belong.  You are invited to join us at our 1st National Canadian Gather.  We are reserving a spot just for you.

What to Expect:
Inspirational Bible teaching from remarkable teachers, stories of incredible Canadian women, and the opportunity to meet other women who believe God is stirring in all us the desire for a uniquely Canadian expression of His heart for us.

Featured Speakers:

Gather Voices include Cathie Ostapchuk, Helen Burns, Sarah Bessey, Idelette McVicker, Ellen Graf-Martin and the voices of other Christian women from across Canada.

Cathie Ostapchuk’s work and ministry as a leadership development trainer, consultant and coach -  has led her to work in global non-profit organizations such as World Vision and Compassion, corporate boardrooms, and has taken her across Canada and as far as Africa and Australia doing the work she loves.  Her mission statement is to help clarify purpose and vision for individuals, teams and organizations.  

Cathie is committed to raising the profile and presence of Canadian Christian women coast to coast and as the Co-Founder of Gather Women, she knows that the Canadian landscape will be transformed by women who are connected and championed in a culture of support.  She believes that cultivating the soil in this nation and gathering, developing and equipping Canadian Christian women will nurture a collective voice and a presence that can radically impact our churches, communities and our culture.


Helen Burns has been married to her high-school sweetheart, John for over 40 years. She passionately loves being a Mom and 'Oma' to her family. She has been a pastor at Relate Church in the Vancouver area for the past 30 years and travels extensively around the world speaking primarily on the subject of Relationships, Marriage and Family. She is a Television Host and has authored several books. She longs to explore more of her beloved Canada and her beautiful people.


Sarah Bessey is the author of Out of Sorts: Making Peace with an Evolving Faith and Jesus Feminist. She is a writer, a preacher, a social justice wannabe, and a recovering know-it-all. Idelette McVicker is an immigrant, mother of three, restaurant wife and founder and Editor-in-Chief of SheLovesmagazine.com.
She was born and raised in South Africa where her eyes were opened to how insidious injustice can be. She found Jesus around a breakfast table in Taiwan. She believes every person has a voice and SheLoves is where we dare to be a global sisterhood of empowered women.

Ellen Graf-Martin is a slightly-granola Vancouver Island girl, committed to equipping and encouraging a life of hope and bravery, drawing on the richness of our unique contexts, giftings and experiences. She is convinced that within each of us there is great potential to become exactly what we were created to be and that together we are far more powerful than we could imagine. Ellen’s years of cross-cultural experience, her love of biblical truth, authentic communication style and sense of humour make her an effective and engaging speaker. Ellen lives with her beloved husband and gorgeous baby girl in Southwestern Ontario, where she is Founder & President of Graf-Martin Communications, a leading Canadian publicity and marketing agency.
