Cathie Ostapchuk - Lead Catalyst. Cathie's work and ministry as a leadership development trainer, consultant and coach - has led her to work in global non-profit organizations such as World Vision and Compassion, corporate boardrooms, and has taken her across Canada and as far as Africa and Australia doing the work she loves. Her mission statement is to help clarify purpose and vision for individuals,
teams and organizations.
Cathie is committed to raising the profile and presence of Canadian Christian women coast to coast and as the Co-Founder of Gather Women, she knows that the Canadian landscape will be transformed by women who are connected and championed in a culture of support. She believes that cultivating the soil in this nation and gathering, developing and equipping Canadian Christian women will nurture a collective voice and a presence that can radically impact our churches, communities and our culture.
Joy Byers was born in Montreal and found her way into the loving arms of Jesus much later in life. An introvert by nature, Joy loves to curl up with a good book and chill with Frankie (her adorable tuxedo cat) by the fireplace or snuggle up with Kevin the man who makes her belly laugh, and husband of 26 years. Joy is Mom in a blended family with 4 grandbabies and "Mama Bear" to many others that God has placed in her path. She loves words and using them to encourage others in the journey called life and experimenting with spices and cuisine from diverse nations. Joy treasures flawed, imperfect, authentic people as well as travelling and learning new things. She is enamoured of all things tech and understanding what makes things work the way they do as well as an avid basketball fan who loves the opportunity feed your belly and your soul.
Joy currently serves as the Discipleship Pastor @ The Peoples Church and is passionate about equipping the body to handle the Word of God, with a special place for women.
Alana Walker Carpenter isthe CEO of Intriciti. She created and leads a ministry for business leaders. Her passion is to inspire business leaders to integrate their faith and business through the five business practices she and her team have developed. Alana has a reputation for excellence. She tackles the issues of the day through innovative events, individual and group coaching, roundtable discussions, leadership development, and philanthropic initiatives. In 2014, she was nominated and received the Top 100 Best Christian Women in Canada, and on a lighter note was nominated by Chatelaine as one of one hundred best-dressed women in Canada.
Andrea Crisp is a transformational life coach dedicated to empowering women with strategies and tools to live their true purpose and potential. Dagmar Tricia Morgan is an educator, writer and spoken word poet. As an internationally published writer and two-time slam poetry champion, Dagmar uses spoken word as a healing mechanism, while providing unique mentorship. She is a strong believer in bringing up the next generation of powerful, faithful art successors. The test of her passion and skill has been here demonstrated ability to coach young poets and artists under her tutelage to champion status! She is working towards a Masters degree in Urban Youth Ministry/Counselling and preparing her first poetry release. Dagmar is Pastor at The Meeting House East Hamilton.
Sharon Witton is the co-lead pastor and creative director at Toronto City Church. She has a background in Music Education and Producing & Sound Engineering. Sharon’s passion for leadership, creativity in the arts and the empowerment of women has led her to gatherwomen of all cultures and ethnicities in leadership development and authentic networking. She works with other city leaders in a grass roots movement called Together Unlocking Destiny. She also oversees her church’s creative arts department, inspiring young musicians, artists, and dancers through innovative programming and encouraging artistic expression. Sharon believes that through community, mentorship and positive empowerment the dreams and goals of every person can be realized. She and her husband have two beautiful children: Micah and Shiloh.
Dr Sheela Duraisami Bio was Born and raised in India,and radically saved at the age of eightee From there shewent on to graduate from the University of Chennai with a Masters degree in English. Later, she pursued theological studies in Canada and earned a Doctorate degree.
She is the co-founder of Church on the Rock International Ministries in Toronto and currently serves as Senior Pastor there. She also serves as a faculty member at Canada Christian College.
Sheela also hosts a weekly television program called “Eagles Voice” bringing the message of hope, across Canada.
A prolific speaker, Dr. Sheela Duraisami preaches the word of God with great passion and keen revelatory insight. She carries a unique prophetic mantle with an anointing to bring streams
in the desert.
A seasoned intercessor, her passion is two-fold: to see revival sweep across the nation of Canada, and to help people come into their God ordained destiny.
Sheela lives in Toronto with her husband Peter, and is the proud mother of two adult sons Yohan and Joshua.
Lorie Hartshorn has been married to Dean for 31 years and together they have 3 young adults.She loves to be in the outdoors whether it’s in her kayak or on her John Deere Tractor cutting grass – any way to get some sunshine!
Lorie is a sought after Conference speaker, author and pastor with a passion to see people grow in faith and experience spiritual freedom. Her DVD Bible Study, Finding Freedom, is bringing hope and healing to many. She shares openly the miraculous work of God in her family, awakening them to the reality of spiritual warfare and the power of prayer.
Lorie is the Connections Pastor at C4 Church in Ajax Ontario where she oversees the discipleship ministries. She provides teaching segments on The 700 Club TV Canada and 100 Huntley St. TV. You can also find her teaching on www.loriehartshorn.com & www.c4church.com
Elisabeth Anna Sookoo is a Christian artist, musician and songwriter from Trinidad & Tobago. Now living in Canada, Elisabeth has a B.A. in criminology from Ryerson University. Her love of music and love for the Lord has inspired a her to lead worship alongside her father, sister and music team at Oakridge Bible Chapel in Oakville, Ontario.
